The website for the self-management community

The National Register of Self-Management is a unique and growing community of volunteers and professionals who are committed to delivering high quality self-management courses to people living with long term health conditions across England.

Initially, The National Register of Self-Management will contain details of tutors, trainers, assessors and Lead Trainers accredited to deliver courses that come under the Department of Health licence with Stanford University, EPP CIC and Working in Partnership Programme (Self Care for You). The aim is to meet the vision laid out in the government White Paper ‘Our health, our care, our say’: a new direction for community services (DH Jan 2006) and provide 100,000 course places by 2012.

The National Register of Self-Management will ensure those people living with long term conditions are only offered courses run by tutors, assessors and trainers accredited under the nationally recognised framework Stepping Stones to Quality (Ss2Q). For more information about Ss2Q please visit www.selfcareconnect.co.uk.

We hope that
The National Register of Self-Management will become a centre of excellence for all those commissioning and delivering self-management courses throughout England.
