The National Register of Self-Management (NRSM)
At the heart of www.selfmanagment.co.uk is The National Register of Self-Management (NRSM), a searchable database of tutors, assessors, trainers and lead trainers who are trained and accredited to deliver the Expert Patient Programme - Chronic Disease Self Management Programme and derivatives. The NRSM will provide Primary Care Trusts and commissioning bodies with a way of both finding tutors to deliver courses and checking their accreditation. Everyone on the register will be accredited or in the process of accreditation. It is important that everyone who is involved in delivering Self-Management courses in England is included on the register as this is the way that delivery organisations will be able to enure that participants are only offered courses run by fully accredited tutors.
Self Management Tutors will be able to use the NRSM as a way of increasing their opportunities to deliver courses, possibly through PCTs outside their region. Everyone on the register will also receive our regular newsletter Self-Management Today and have access to downloadable, printable versions of course materials.

Organisations will be able to search the register to find suitably qualified and experienced tutors and assessors to deliver courses and confirm their accreditation status.
