I am intersted in knowing how many volunteers are still involved delivering courses. I have reluctantly finished with CIC as I found myself the only volunteer in my area.
When I trained in 2007 the emphasis was on volunteers leading the courses, but CIC seems more involved with sessional workers, at a time when the NHS is under pressure to reduce costs. I can see that using sessional workers might be a way back into work for some people, but again this would be good to know the numbers that are now fully in employment. I feel dissappointed after all my training for many different courses, that I have found myself in this position.
After all the years the organisation has been going we still seem to have communication problems.
